Patience in waiting

An update on Jose Luis...He is fully recooperated from his injuries; however, more than a month after the incident, he still doesn't have his car! This is one of those frustrating parts about being in Mexico. Every country has those annoying things, and we are living one of them. The police still have his car. First they said they were waiting for the final paper work from the investigations that were made. He went last week and they said they were waiting for the paperwork. That evening when he got home, he got a phone call from the department that has his car and they were wondering why he hadn't come to pick his car up. Huh?! So, when he went back, they said he needed a letter from the original dealership to show that it wasn't stolen or something. Mind you, he bought the car, however many years ago, from a person, not a dealership. Hmmmm....
The moral of the story is that he will just have to keep going back and hoping that they decide he has the necessary paperwork and the moon is lined up just right and the lady didn't have a fight with her husband before coming to work, and his shoes match! And in the meantime, they charge him for keeping his car there and he can't work because he doesn't have a taxi! The doctor that his wife works for has given him some work, which certainly helps to have a bit of income, but it is not what he is used to with the taxi. It affects us in that we are taking turns with the neighbors in taking their kids to school, and we (that would be ME) pick up their daughter everyday. For us, Sofia is the most affected because she has to go to school early and stay late.
So, please pray that he get his car soon, and for our hearts that we will stay in the long haul of being family and servants.
